GSC Compare % Change is a browser extension that adds percentage-change badges to Google Search Console's Performance report when you're comparing two time periods, and helps align year-over-year comparisons so both periods land on the same day of the week.
This extension does not collect, store, transmit, or share any data, personal or otherwise. It does not use analytics, does not make any network requests, and does not communicate with any server.
The extension runs a small script only on pages under
search.google.com/search-console/performance. That script
reads text already visible on the page — metric values, dates, and
labels — to compute and display percentage-change badges. For the
date-alignment features, it also reads and writes values into the date
fields of Search Console's own "Compare" date-range picker on that same
page. This all happens entirely within your browser — nothing is sent
anywhere, and nothing is saved between sessions, including by the
extension itself.
The extension requests access only to
https://search.google.com/search-console/performance*.
This is required so the content script can read the page and display
badges, and adjust the comparison date fields when you use the
alignment features. No other host or browser permissions are
requested — the extension does not use storage,
tabs, scripting, or any other Chrome
extension API.
This extension is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google. It is an independent tool that adds visual badges and date-alignment convenience while you use Google Search Console.
